Ingredients

  • 1 lb. skirt steak
  • 3 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortillas for serving
  • Sour cream, guacamole, and salsa for topping

Instructions

Step 1: Marinate the Steak

In a large resealable bag, combine the olive oil, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add the steak and seal the bag, making sure to evenly coat the steak with the marinade. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Step 2: Cook the Fajitas

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. Add the bell peppers and onions to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until softened.

Step 3: Assemble the Fajitas

Slice the steak into thin strips. Place a few slices of steak on each tortilla and top with the bell peppers and onions. Serve with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa. Enjoy!
TIP: For a spicier flavor, add a few shakes of hot sauce to the marinade.
